Norman's Lampeye killifish have a subtle, understated beauty. Their body is a soft silver-grey, but their eyes have a brilliant iridescent blue-green glow that catches the light and looks incredible in a planted tank. They are peaceful schooling fish that spend time near the surface and look their best in a large group where all those glowing eyes create a mesmerising effect.
Home-bred by me in QLD and raised on live food.
- Adult size: 3–4cm
- Temperament: Peaceful
- Best kept in: Groups of 8 or more
- Tank size: 40L minimum
- Temperature: 22–26°C
- Diet: Small live and frozen food, crushed dry food
- Difficulty: Beginner-friendly
- Note: Surface dweller, needs a tight-fitting lid
