Moss

Mosses are incredibly versatile, attach them to driftwood, rocks, or mesh and they'll slowly carpet whatever surface you give them. They're perfect for shrimp tanks because they trap biofilm and give shrimplets plenty of places to hide and graze. I use moss in most of my breeding tanks for exactly this reason. Low light, no CO2, minimal effort,  just tie it down and watch it grow.
