Red root floaters are one of the most attractive floating plants, the leaves develop deep red tones under strong lighting, and the roots hang down in a striking red-purple colour. Under lower light, the leaves stay green but the roots still add visual interest. They provide shade and cover while absorbing excess nutrients. A bit slower than duckweed, which makes them easier to manage.
- Growth rate: Moderate
- Light: Medium to high (stronger light = more red colour)
- CO2: Not required
- Placement: Floating
- Difficulty: Easy to intermediate (does not like water movement on the surface)
You will receive one portion of red root floaters.
