Mini Bolbitis

Mini bolbitis is a compact fern with fine, lacy fronds, a much smaller version of the African water fern that suits nano tanks and detailed aquascapes. New growth unfurls as small fiddleheads from the rhizome and fills out into a dense, textured clump over time. Care is the same as java fern: attach to driftwood or rock, low light, no CO2, no substrate needed. Do not bury the rhizome or it will rot. It is usually grown emersed, so expect a settling in period where it drops a few leaves before the new submerged growth comes through. Safe with shrimp and nano fish, and it does just as well in a humid terrarium or paludarium.
