Saxifraga Stolonifera 'Variegata', Strawberry Begonia

Neither a strawberry nor a begonia, which is a good start. It is a Saxifrage, and it gets the name from the way it sends out long thin runners with baby plants on the end, exactly like a strawberry does. The variegated form has rounded, softly hairy leaves edged in cream and pink, with red undersides and silver veining running through the green. Those runners are half the appeal in a terrarium, because they dangle down over ledges and hardscape and then root themselves wherever they land, so one plant slowly becomes several. Give it medium light to hold the variegation, keep the substrate damp but not wet, and make sure the setup has some airflow, as this one prefers cooler and slightly less stuffy conditions than most terrarium plants. It handles a temperate or unheated build better than a warm tropical one.
