Begonia Olivacea

A compact creeping begonia with small olive green leaves that carry a faint bronze sheen and flush red underneath. It spreads along a low rhizome rather than growing upright, so it works well as groundcover or trailing over hardscape in the front of a build. It stays small and neat, which makes it a good choice for nano terrariums where a full sized begonia would take over. It wants high humidity but not sitting water, so plant the rhizome on the surface rather than burying it and make sure your setup has a little airflow. Rot at the base is the main thing that catches people out with begonias, and it is almost always caused by the rhizome being buried too deep.
