Similis look very similar to Multies but with more prominent vertical barring across their body. The key difference is in their behaviour: Similis tend to be a bit bolder and can be slightly more territorial. They form colonies in the same way as Multies and are equally fascinating to watch. If you want something that looks and behaves like a Multi but with a bit more attitude, these are the ones.

Home-bred by me in QLD. These fish need a sand substrate and empty shells to thrive.

  • Adult size: 4cm

  • Best kept in: Colony (start with a group of 6 or more)
  • Tank size: 40L minimum for a colony
