Melon barbs, also known as panda barbs, are a lively schooling barb, are a lively schooling barb from southern India with a pinkish body and bold black bars. As they mature, warm orange and red tones come through, especially once they settle into a planted tank with a darker substrate. They are far more relaxed than tiger barbs, but I would still keep them with active tankmates rather than slow fish with long fins.
