Medaka, Pearl Cream White - Japanese Rice Fish - Oryzias Latipes

Pearl cream white medaka have a soft, creamy white colouring with a gentle pearlescent quality. They are more subtle than platinum medaka, with a warm rather than cool tone. A beautiful, calming variety that looks elegant in planted tanks and outdoor tubs alike.

Medaka are hardy, peaceful, and easy to breed. They do well in nano tanks, ponds, and outdoor tubs, and they do not need a heater. I breed my medaka outdoors in QLD following the natural seasons, which produces tougher, more colourful fish. They are social fish and do best in groups of 6 or more.
