Fissidens is a tiny, slow-growing moss with neat, feathery fronds that stay close to whatever it is attached to. It is perfect for covering rocks and driftwood in nano and shrimp tanks, and I love how tidy it looks compared with some of the faster, messier mosses.
Care at a glance
- Placement: Rocks, driftwood, foreground
- Lighting: Low to medium
- CO2: Not required
- Temperature: 18 to 26°C
- Growth rate: Slow
Planting tips
- Tie it on with cotton or fishing line, or attach it with superglue gel.
- Keep it free of debris with a gentle siphon, as it does not like getting dirty.
What you will receive
One small portion of Fissidens Moss in a Plant Pod. Please note that Plant Pods may contain a little duckweed, so I recommend rinsing and checking the moss over before adding it to your tank.
