Checkered barbs have a distinctive scaled pattern that creates a checkerboard effect along their body. Males develop a coppery sheen and darker fin edges when in breeding condition. They are an underrated barb species that is peaceful, hardy, and full of character. A great choice for a community tank with some personality.
Home-bred by me in QLD and raised on live food for the best colour and health.
