Mermaid weed is a unique stem plant with serrated, saw-toothed leaves that develop rich orange to coppery red tones under strong lighting. The leaf shape is completely different from most aquarium plants and adds a wild, textured look to any aquascape. Supplied emersed grown in a pot. The emersed leaves look different from the submersed form, so expect a transition period as new submersed growth develops its signature toothed leaves and colour.

  • Growth rate: Slow to moderate
  • Light: Medium to high
  • CO2: Recommended for best colour and form
  • Placement: Midground to background
  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Note: Received emersed, currently transitioning to submersed growth. New submersed leaves will develop the signature toothed shape and colour

You will receive one pot of Proserpinaca palustris (Mermaid Weed), currently transitioning from emersed to submersed growth.
