Marsilea hirsuta is an Australian native carpeting plant with small clover-shaped leaves. When grown submersed under good lighting, the leaves become simpler and smaller, forming a low, neat carpet across the foreground. It spreads by runners and is more forgiving than many carpet plants, working in moderate light without CO2 if you are patient. A great native option for a natural-looking foreground.
- Growth rate: Slow to moderate
- Light: Medium to high
- CO2: Beneficial but not required
- Placement: Foreground carpet
- Difficulty: Easy to intermediate
You will receive one pot of Marsilea hirsuta.
