Subwassertang looks like tiny seaweed, round, green, and slightly translucent. It is not technically a moss or a plant, but a liverwort, and it grows in loose, cushion-like clumps. Shrimp absolutely thrive in it because it traps biofilm and provides endless grazing surface. Just drop it in your tank, tuck it around hardscape, or let it float, it is incredibly low maintenance.
- Growth rate: Slow to moderate
- Light: Low to medium
- CO2: Not required
- Placement: Floating, tucked into hardscape, or attached loosely
- Difficulty: Beginner-friendly
You will receive one portion of subwassertang.
