Blue badis are a chameleon-like fish that can change colour depending on their mood, environment, and social interactions. Males display a range of colours from deep blue to brown to almost black, often shifting between them within minutes. They are a fascinating fish to observe, and in a well-planted tank they become confident and colourful. A true oddball that rewards patient keepers.
Home-bred by me in QLD and raised on live food.

- Temperament: Peaceful, can be shy
- Best kept in: Pairs or small groups
- Tank size: 40L minimum
- Temperature: 22–26°C
- Diet: Live and frozen food preferred
- Difficulty: Easy to intermediate
